Cutout & listings

The shop sent back a see-through PNG. Cut out locally and fill white?

The listing desk or the signup form asked for a white background. You sent a PNG with a checkerboard, or the hair still carried the bedroom wall. They bounced it. The job is not a prettier crop — it is whether this file should leave as a hole, and how you fill white so they do not see the room.

Cut the subject out, or just crop the desk?

The shop sent a see-through PNG back, or the hair still holds the wallpaper. A phone crop only trims the table. It does not replace the room with white.

What they sent backVerdict
A transparent PNG — checkerboard on the listing pageCut out, then fill white in the tool. A hole is not a white background.
Hair, fur, or a mesh bag still glued to the bedroom wallCut out. A quick crop leaves the fringe dirty.
Already shot on a clean white wall, and they only flagged size or frameSkip cutout. Compress or crop instead.
The file is still iPhone .heicConvert first with the HEIC to JPG walkthrough, then come back. Cutout reads JPG / PNG / WebP.

ImageAwe Cutout can batch. Many files in, many independent results out — not one merged image. Keep each file at or under 20MB. Preview and export stay in the browser.

Fill white in the tool, or download a hole?

A transparent PNG looks clean on your screen. Many shop and signup backends flatten that hole onto grey, black, or a checker they cannot read — then they bounce it again.

What you exportWhat the desk sees
White swatch in Cutout, then downloadA person or product sitting on white. That is what they asked for.
Transparent PNG “to be safe”A hole. They flatten it onto whatever they use. Often rejected.
A quick crop that still shows the roomThe wall is still there. Crop is not a backdrop.
White fill after a dirty fringeA pink or red halo. Refine the mask, then tap white again.

Cut, fill white, download — on this device

Open Cutout and treat the folder as one job:

  1. Drop JPG, PNG, or WebP — one file or a set. Keep each image at or under 20MB. Each photo is cut on its own: many files in, many independent results out. Still holding iPhone .heic? Convert first with the HEIC to JPG walkthrough, then come back. Wrong format for the portal? Convert Format after the white fill.
  2. Check the fringe before you fill. Hair, straps, bottle labels. If wallpaper still sticks, refine the mask. Do not download yet.
  3. Pick the white swatch in the tool, then download. The fill is part of this step. You get a white-backed copy; the local original is not overwritten.

Batch the cutout — do not batch the other jobs

A folder of SKU shots can share one white swatch. A face or a phone number cannot share one box:

JobBatch?
Same SKU folder, each file cut and filled on its ownYes — that is Cutout.
Framing a face into 1:1 or a 1-inch / 3:4 boxNo. Crop one portrait at a time.
Painting a number off a chat or ID scanNo. Redact one screenshot at a time.
Hitting a KB cap after the white fillYes — Compress Image can batch that last step.

White is on — what still blocks the listing?

  • The portal still rejects the file for size — follow the target-KB walkthrough on the white export, not the hole.
  • The desk wants one PDF of white pages, not a folder — stack them with the merge guide.
  • A resume or ID shot in the same pack still has the wrong frame — crop that face first; do not fill white around a chopped head and hope.
  • The next public folder still needs a shop name — stamp it after the white fill, not on the room photo, with the watermark walkthrough.

Wrap-up

They bounced a see-through PNG, or hair still glued to the wall. Cut the subject out locally, fill white in the same tool — do not download a hole. Batch is many independent results. Each file at or under 20MB. HEIC first. Stay local.

After you fill white

Can I download a transparent PNG and let the shop paint white?

Usually no. A transparent file is a hole. Many listing and signup backends flatten that hole onto grey, black, or a checker they cannot read — then they bounce it again. Pick the white swatch in Cutout before you download. The fill belongs in the tool, not in a later hope.

Can I cut a whole folder of SKU shots at once?

Yes. Cutout can batch. Many files in, many independent results out — not one merged collage. Keep each image at or under 20MB. That is the opposite of crop or redact: those stay one file at a time because the box moves.

The hair fringe turned pink or red on white. Is the cutout broken?

The subject is out, but leftover room color is still on the edge. Zoom the preview, refine the mask on hair and straps, then tap white again. Do not export the transparent copy to “fix it later.”

Does cutting out upload my photos?

No. Detection, the mask, and the white fill run in the browser on this device. Listing and signup shots stay local. There is no “upload first, fill later” step.
